I’m thinking that for my truck. It’s a 23 and was built in aug 23 but I did not buy it until August 24. So it sat in transit and at dealer for a year. And with the cold snap we had last week I think it’s possible my battery might not be doing so well. Even though it tests as ok I might just get a new one. I’ll have to see if Costco sells H3 size batteries.
Okay just went through this jessie-infotainment had the partial solution.. the 12v was drained after the draler installed a CSP. Even though I trickle charged the battery the bms was locked in a safety mode(my words). To reset pull the bms or i just removed the negative and let it sit for about 5 minutes... then plugged back in.. immediatly fixed the problem with sound though so.e people said it my might take a day... Ultimately though my 23 Lariat needed a new battery which is under warranty and I just got replaced by the dealer... The above should fix it temporarily...

I'm seriously considering buying a replacement H3 now before something goes wrong my the stock one which is now almost 30 months old.

This morning I had an episode of start-up glitch that cause reduced power warning, no PPOB available, and a blast of other warnings, could not full start the truck and could not move shifter out of park without the special neutral release procedures.

I let the truck rest for an hour then tried again and all was fine, and I did a 118 mile road trip this evening with no issues at all.

I don't want to get caught with a dead battery at the least opportune time.

Just curious, as I have never had the need to pull the negative battery cable. Do you lose anything after reconnecting it? Radio stations, charge locations, seat positions or memory?

No, they're all retained, you just need to manually close the frunk, then test operation with the dash button, then the FOB and App controls.

I have a 10mm wrench in the frunk, just never felt the need to use it.

I do know one thing. I purchased in October of 22. I will definitely replace my 12V before next winter. There is a rush of failures starting to pop up on the 2021 model Mach-E. Our sister site is full of failure reports.

Your 12V battery is low if you get the chimes through your cluster instead of the audio system. Your Bluetooth monitor might be draining it.
I don't have any power-draining devices attached, and I am getting the the cluster chimes fairly frequently (but not every time). I have had the truck at the dealer recently for connectvity issues and they have confirmed the LVB is fine.

I've had this chime issue on the ICE truck as well. The OTA updates on that truck take a toll on the battery because the only way to charge it is having the engine run.

If your LVB is low, the boot up process is different and the chimes come through the cluster. I can't explain why your dealer is saying your battery is fine and you're still having the issue.
