Sure, but there has to be a better way than having people buy more cables for something already over $1,000. I have no issue making my own harness, but that doesn't help produce a good end product for everyone.
feel free to go tell comma they don’t know how to run their business and see how that works out for you. Because it got me banned from all their official platforms.

Seems they are banking on people dealing with workarounds or dealing with the startup errors at this point. I'm really intrigued by the system, but I already have too many things to screw with in my non existent free time.

Well, the thought was there for a minute.

I plan on starting with Ferrite cores as discussed in earlier posts and move on to the harness if nothing else works.

A forum member from Canada is drop shipping me a full unit from comma so I can modify it and send it on to him. I'll try the ferrite core with my long usb-c cable once i get it. Should be any day now.

I opted for the rush delivery, so we should be getting them around the same time.

I got the long cable from comma as well, so I just need to order a 90 degree usb c adapter from Amazon and the ferrite.

Any news on yours yet? I got the ferrite and the 90's, tracking shows the Comma unit will be here tomorrow around noon.

Trying to install Bluepilot and getting stuck on a "Registering Device" screen. Any suggestions?

It's a back end bug. It happens on stock openpilot too. The only path forward I've found is to tap the screen a bunch during reboot and trigger a factory reset, then start over. Very frustrating outcome.

I reset it a couple times and couldn't get past it. I was able to get sunny pilot installed for now and will mess with it once I have it working to some degree.

Also, Ferrite does Jack on the comma power cable. Installed one on each end and a loop in the middle.

Ferrite installed on every cable in everyway possible way and it still flashes errors for about 5 seconds on startup. So harness modification looks like the only good solution still.

You could try jumping straight to staging-2.1, it has a higher agnos version:

installer.comma.ai/bluepilotdev/staging-2.1

I'll see if I can get it installed after I figure out how to get this extremely short power cable ran to the obd port.
