Thank you!

OK, it looks like this did it. Such a quick and easy fix to this significant door vibration. The door moved around a millimeter and that did it. Unreal how a small amount of movement made that much of a difference. I also see where another owner tried this today too!

I added an image of the movement amount. Before the fix, the black trim was even. Not even concerned about moving the rear door to line up. You can barely see it. Canā€™t wait to call the dealership and cancel the service appointment :) !

OK, now to tires haha. Any thoughts on the Toyo Open Country AT/3 EV LT vs XL? Really trying to decide if the LT extra ply construction is really needed or if the XL will do it. Iā€™ll be going off road but not rock climbing. Weā€™re talking dirt roads. No massive towing. Truck bed tent when camping. Let me know if yā€™all have heard about these Toyos.

@Discount Tire
If there is anyone monitoring your account, I tried getting these from the Bloomington/Normal, IL store and they had no interest in finding them for me. I have seen where other stores have found these tires for folks by ordering. Could I get some help getting these?

Whatā€™s up door fam. Got down to 18 here in IL today and my previously silent door is on the move again. Now, Iā€™m sure itā€™s because of the temp. Should probably grateful the last fix workedā€¦but Iā€™m wondering if moving the striker a small amount would wrap this door situation up? Has anyone move the striker and if so, any tips?

2024 Lariat ER with 300 miles on odo. My driver's door is doing this and it's enough to drive me crazy. I am not mechanically inclined and have bad luck so I'm afraid to adjust the door myself. It's going to my dealer's bodyshop next week. This is my first Ford and unfortunately not a great first impression. I'll update after the body shop visit.

Strike that striker idea. I just adjusted the door on the bottom. Moved it slightly outward and this moved the top of the door further inward. The adjustments using the two bolts now has the driver door closing just as snugly as the other doors. Itā€™s 15 degrees out and just took a drive to test. Like a vault :) This really nice vehicle just got even nicer. Have driven EVs since 2016. Multiple models from VW, Chevrolet, Tesla, and Rivian. This is without a doubt the best made EV Iā€™ve owned. Best suspension by far and that includes the air versions from Tesla and Rivian. Such a surprise. And donā€™t get my started on the interior fit and finish. This Lightning takes 1st place.

Good luck at the dealership. I would directly ask them to adjust the doors according to the method discussed in this thread. This method is truly the fix. If they donā€™t complete the fix, Iā€™d suggest getting a friend to help. Itā€™s not too bad honestly.

Best of luck. I had the dealership look into this issue for me, they even called in an aerodynamics specialist from Ford (supposedly).

Zero change

One wrench, one bolt (that you don't even take out), and two minutes later it was fixed.

If you want i could try and take a video for you.

If you could take a video, that would be awesome! What's really holding me back is once I would unloosen the bolt, I can't visualize how I would "move" or manipulate the door to get it closer to the frame.

Ok. So 2 pics. First wide shot of the 2 hinges on door. Then the closer on is the top hinge with my meat nugget pointing at it. Thatā€™s the one. Just loosen that one very little and that will allow the door to pivot in on the top half. I would suggest just moving it in a small amount then tighten and go for a ride to see if itā€™s better. Mine had to just pretty much go all the way in. Before I did this you could see the top half of the driver door sitting proud of the rear door. Now itā€™s flush.

Thank you for posting this! I have the same vertical rub sound with some wind buffering when I hit rough road and I think this will fix the problem!!
