2023 Lightning Lariat ER, one year old, 18,000 miles.
Pulling into the parking lot at work this morning the truck threw several alarms (alarms below and pics) and was a pain to get into a parking spot. After 8 hours of working, everything seemed to be back to normal and I drove home (22 miles) with no issues. A few hours after this, went to church and as I was pulling into the parking lot, the doors all unlocked, the interior light came on and all of the alarms threw again. It seems that the entire drivers side door has no power. The windows do not work, nor the locks or button lights...Just the drivers door.
Again, all of the below occurred this morning and then 8 hrs later seemed to be all normal and then later this evening it all occurred again. There has been no software update that I have noticed occurring in the past month or so.
Errors/issues (in the truck):
- Drivers door ajar
- Cross traffic system fault
- Transmission not in park
- Blind spot system fault
- Trailer brake module fault
- Rear belt monitor fault - service required
- The turn signals are fast flashing like there is a dead bulb
- The truck locks, but double honks and mirrors do not fold in...acting like a door is still open
- The drivers door mirror turn signal, nor light works.
Received the following messages in the Ford Pass App at same time:
- Restraints indicator lamp warning -> The restraints control module has detected a fault with the driver seatbelt buckle sensor circuit.
- Restraints indicator lamp warning -> The restraints control module has detected a fault with the drivers seat position sensor.
I did disconnect the 12V battery and connected my trickle charger. This showed the battery at 50%. I will let the charger on for a little bit, reconnect the battery and see (and update here) if there are any issues.
This is the very first issue I have had with the Lightning since picking it up from the dealer. I have overall had a fantastic experience around town and on road trips with it.
Appreciate anyone that might have some thoughts on this weird anomaly.
**Update** Charged the Low Voltage 12V battery to about 85% and reconnected everything.... No luck same issues and Drivers door seems to have no power and all of the above alarms are back. The LVB now is 12.8V with the truck off and 13.6Vdc with the truck powered on ready to drive (full of faults). Will see what letting it sit overnight does.
