... In its latest report, Electrify America (EA) says it served more than 16 million EV charging sessions in 2024, a 50% increase from the previous year. ...

For context, EA reported 11 million customer charging sessions in 2023, which itself was 106% more than in 2022's 5.3 million.

No mention on reliability / availability.....

And 11 million failed sessions as well.
I first started using EA stations back in 2017 (2 EVs ago) and while the reliability is now much better, it's still no guarantee that when you plug in that the unit will pair and start charging, which is sad and so you're right on point!

I'm glad I didn't start using EA until late 2024, because I have had nothing but success. The only issue I've seen is when a station was down and there was a line for the 4-5 chargers left. I went over to the Tesla chargers, which had like 15 open.
I've read so many horror stories with EA in the 2021-2023 times, which I guess didn't help with staffing issues. Though, during this same time Tesla wasn't having those issues.....

I still tend to use Tesla chargers because of their location. I really don't care about being next to a Walmart or a Bank of America....
