The author indicates the battery:
"For all we know, the battery health may deteriorate over the next 10,000 miles and then this success story won’t look so rosy. Only time will tell but hopefully, this is a positive omen."

The studies I've read indicate to me that their is an initial drop off when the battery is first used and then that decline slope levels of substantially over time. Though I certainly don't resent the author for being cautious.

wow, you're famous!

Also, you mention temperature, being in vegas is very hot. My lightning is in Dallas, which also has hot summers and it sits outside.

As there is no way around that, do you really mean try only charging at night?

Not at all. I just park my vehicle in the shade when it is hot and there is shade to be had. Don't forget about keeping it plugged in during the winter.

Very Impressive, @Helium.
Thanks for sharing your experience!
It’ll definitely take me a lot longer to drive that many miles 😃.
