I am on the road now and have limited access to at-home charging.

I signed up with EVGO because they say they are now affiliated with the fast expanding Pilot/Flying J Truck Stop EV Charging network. I bought the EVGO $12.99 subscription plan in order to lower my cost per KW as low as possible.

My first experience was a couple of days ago here in Knoxville, TN and was happy with the experience (pull thru, fast charge, no charging issues like EA).

Unfortunately, I had to charge at the On-Peak Rate of $0.65/kW but expected the final rate to be less because of my subscription. To my surprise I was billed $0.71/kW.

EVGO support says all Pilot Flying J stations are considered "Out-Of-Network" and have no EVGO discount, thereby making my $12.99/month plan useless.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with EVGO or the GM Chargers suck as those at Pilot?

Are you still using EVGO? or our you charging at Flying J and paying them there?

I do love everything about Flying J (many locations and great chargers) except their cost.

I have Autocharge+ set up on my Lightning, so I just plug in and it bills to my EVGo account automatically

Same experience. The auto charge + is a nice plug and play feature.

Used them on my last trip to TN. They were a nice alternative to Walmart and provided good coverage in east TN with that one in Knoxville and out in white pine.

EVGo clearly states they are out of network, yes. No need for any account, activate the charger via FordPass.
