With bluecruise and lane centering on most major highways will come inductive charging lanes. Just like we have light rail powered by both overhead wires and energized tracks, we can have energized highways to help power or charge vehicles on the fly.
The future is here, but how soon will we act on it depends on who's going to build / finance the infrastructure.
Right now, it could be Elon and Trump.
