Dealers don’t like to and it can take a while to get your money back but it can be done. GAP and warranties.

Yes. Usually within 30 days of purchase there is no penalty or fee, after that you lose a small pro rated amount. I just advised a friend on this. He and the wife bought the dealership’s 5/60 extended warranty on a new Highlander for $2200, I found him the Toyota 8/80 warranty for $735 through Wolverine Toyota.

Yes to both. I believe the transfer fee is $75.

Dealer pushed real hard on it and wouldn't let it go; I reluctantly added after saying he gave $1500 off, and that I could cancel anytime (so I could research it later). Ended up trying to charge $3k for 8yr/100k, $100 deposit, no addons. Paper work was delayed, so I had it removed within 24 hours.
