Here’s a good deal:

CAFCU just started a special discount of 0.50% starting today,
June 6th to June 10th,

bringing their rate down to

1.74%

up to 60 months
(80% Loan to Value).

Promo code is: CAFCU83

It’s their 83 year Anniversary

(1.99% above 80% LTV)

Is 60 month there max? Also how long does offer stay good for if I apply now. My build date is 8/29. I may not get it until September or October.

👍
That’s a promo code worth a few thousand bucks!

it looked better than anything I’ve seen since rates started climbing

no strings attached either, as far as I can tell.
No direct deposit required like DCU, etc…

So far USAA has been better than SRCFCU and NavyFed but this blows them out of the water. Submitted my application to join and my loan application. I expect to talk to them tomorrow.

Can you ask how long they will grandfather the rate in for people that have deliveries a ways out if they apply now? Thanks!

JUST SAYING::unsure:

Are you taking delivery of a 2022 or 2023 Ford Lightning this year?

If the answer is "Yes", then consider yourself among the "Elite". Not just because you are Lucky to get one, but because you are Lucky your budget can afford the price.

A 2022 Lariat ER will set you back at least $86,000 (Including Sales Tax and Fees). With a Down Payment of $6,000 you will Finance $80,000 for 60 Months @ 3% for a Monthly Payment of $1,440/Month OR $17,280/Year (if you are quick and credit-worthy).

The US Census Bureau estimates Annual Median Family Take Home Pay in Mississippi of $37,000/Year.

In general, experts recommend spending 10%–15% of your income on transportation, including car payment, insurance, and fuel.

In Mississippi 10% - 15% = A Maximum Monthly Payment (Not Including Insurance or Fuel) of $310/Month (Annual $3,700) to $460/Month ($5,520/Year).

This exceeds the Maximum recommendation by almost $12,000/Year. Good Luck finding a Lender.

The US Census Bureau estimates Annual Median Family Take Home Pay in New Jersey of $65,000/Year.

In general, experts recommend spending 10%–15% of your income on transportation, including car payment, insurance, and fuel.

In New Jersey 10% - 15% = A Maximum Monthly Payment (Not Including Insurance or Fuel) of $540/Month (Annual $6,500) to $812/Month ($9,750/Year).

This exceeds the Maximum recommendation by almost $8,000/Year. Good Luck finding a Lender.

It seems that if your Lender follows established New Auto Financing Guidelines (and if your Credit Score is above 750) you will need a Family Take Home Pay of $150,000 to $175,000/Year.

Congrats! 🤪

This means you are richer than 99% of others in the Whole World and richer than 95% of those in the United States!

I expect that of those that Reserved the Lightning last year perhaps 50% had Hearts Bigger than their Wallets, and will Eventually Cancel.

Also, I expect that of those that do Order the Lightning this year perhaps 25% have Hearts Bigger than their now depleted Wallets, and will have to Cancel, making more Lightnings available for Dealers to Sell (at Inflated Prices, of Course).

So, Have Heart! If Not Heart, at least have Wallets!. 😭
Yet the average new car purchase is $47,000 in the US. $25,000 for a used car purchase. Which highlights a debt problem. But…

As long as I buy a F150L Pro, I’ll be under the new average.

In your example of NJ, there’s no sales tax on EVs. A F150L Pro could be had for $42,000 OTD. With $0 down, no tax credit. That’s $700/mo over 60 months and fits within budget!

Do a search here on the forum on or Fords site for Options. It is not good. I think almost twice your rate.

it is currently 6%. was just at the dealer talking numbers with the sales manager since i was just offered a chance to order a 510 lariat and had to say no since some how the monthly was likely to be $1500 using ford options pricing vs $1200 for standard financing vs the $450 my current 21 502a is on lease.

So how long is that logix rate lock good for?
Just got off chat with them so here are a few data points:

1. You do indeed need to reside and register the car in a state Logix operates in. I live in CA but the Lighting is going to reside and be registered at a second home/rental in OR and that doesn’t work with Logix. If the truck ever comes to CA, they definitely do refinances, so that’s an option down the road.

2. The rate lock is good for 60 days.

I am using a bank in CA, where I am located, that offers 7, 10, or 12 year unsecured line of credit with a 2 year interest only draw that terms out for the remaining years. When I booked it in March it was 2.75% but I think they are in the low 3% range for a 10yr. The rate is fixed for life but you do need to maintain 20% of the total line amount in checking with direct deposit to get the best rate.

Might be a good option for some. Let me know if you have questions or DM and I can put in a referral.

So, is Ford still offering the rate lock at the time of order on their standard financing? With the way rates are going that is looking like it might turn out to be a good deal.
