Flashing amber lights when charging

Do you think it is the circuit board in the charger or a AC electrical issue

I have had my 2023 Platinum Lightning for 6 weeks and had my procharger installed several weeks ago with a 100 amp circuit breaker by a electrician. It has worked great for several weeks until a few nights ago when it stopped charging with flashing amber lights on the truck. It appears based it other threads and the Ford documentation this is a charging fault outside the vehicle and the truck automatically disconnects the connection. I have had no breakers to reset and the Blu light returns after reseting the breaker and unit. The power seems normal.

I tried the mobile connector and it works fine and also went to Electric America and did a DC charge with no issues. This validated that the truck most likely is fine and I have an issue with the Ford pro-charger. My guess is I have a bad circuit board in the unit. The question I have is where do I go from here? or are there any other options that I may have missed. I also tried the unit at lower amp settings with no change to the issue.

Any feedback is appreciated.
Thank you!

Not sure if this input is worth anything for a Ford Procharger, but I had a flashing amber issue when I used a brand-new extension cord with a Ford Mobile charger. We tried everything we could think of including unplugging and replugging and even flipping the breaker. It was a brand-new electrical hookup, new 50amp cable run, NEMA, but it worked fine without the extension cable. I sent the extension cable back and got another one...and it worked fine them then on.

Check the paper work that came with the charger. It has a color coded light flashing chart in it that may help define the problem.

Thank you. It may be worth it for me to have the electrician back out while Ford is working the case.

What lights are on the station?

Have your electrician come out and
recheck the connections inside the Ford charge station pro and elsewhere. If fault still exists, dial down the amperage with the internal switch to 60a and try again. If that fails then contact whoever sent it to you for warranty replacment.

The lights on the station are the normal Bright Blue until I plug it into the truck. Then it goes immediately to an amberish , 30 seconds goes by and the truck blinks amber. 30 seconds later it must disconnect and the station goes back to Blue. I did try dialing the amperage down. No impact.

To your point I contacted the electrician. If anything, it will help with my open case with Ford.

Thank you!

When the electrician comes by, have him double check the torques on all wire fasteners, at breaker & FCSP.

Do you have any local Lightning enthusiast willing to test your FCSP?

If the failure continues with another truck, then it's the FCSP, get a replacement and have your electrician install it.

I have seen videos on this forum users that installed the 80amp FCSP by an electrician that did not use pure copper wire. I saw in the video when the wire was replaced all was fine.

I had SunRun install. Maybe cost too much but my charger has been perfect for a year now.

I hope this helps.
