16k miles and no problems here. Loving it. Except maybe the occasional squeak from the driver's door panel....
That's just the mouse that runs on the wheel to provide extra power to the truck. Dropping some food crumbs down though the window should quiet him down.

No. I bet it is the mouse that runs in the wheel that makes the window go up and down when you push the button. They are usually the ones with the attitude.

This is not knocking anyone with a standard range batt but I cringed when I read SR, towing, cold weather and range all in the same sentence. I'm dreading going out of town pulling my (soon to be owning) 6,000 lb camper with my ER battery because I'm ready to make frequent charge stops. I don't want to imagine doing it with an SR battery. o_O
That is why we have an ICE Suv. I bought the SR for the purpose that fits within the SR design. I have yet to use a fast charger. My longest round trip is 70 miles.

No need to cringe.

Hi there. Could you privately message us with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer so I can look into this door squeak concern? Thanks!

I've had two power train fault codes with only 400 miles. 1st one the dealer found nothing wrong. Hope they can figure it out this time.

Well I was about to take delivery last week and they discovered non working heated seats. After paper signings they said HVAC heat doesn't work either. Now they are replacing a module. Didn't take it home yet. Real shame Ford shipped it without checking? I sure hope this is not a reflection of things to come.

I'm going on six months of ownership and have had two issues, neither of which are too problematic.

1) I've had a recurring issue where the window will not stay closed. When the window is closed, it automatically re-opens half way. I have been able to reset the window using the hold the button trick on this forum, but the issue has happened multiple times.

2) When parking outside in freezing rain, the charge port door was pushed open by the ice expansion, which led to ice inside the port. For days I had to wait for the port to thaw, before I could charge my truck. I will never park outside overnight in freezing rain, the truck can't handle the condition. This would be a bigger issue if I didn't have access to a garage.

Overall this seems about in-line with the types of issues I've seen with all my new vehicles. I once owned an Audi for 4 years that didn't have a single issue, every other vehicle I've ever driven had a few problems (or MANY problems in the case of my GM vehicles).

I haven't taken possession of my Lariat yet but I thought about this months ago. I told myself that I would find a tough plastic cap that fits perfectly over the charge port plug. I figured it would keep water/moisture out and also dust and any debris that might find it's way into the port. I'm surprised it didn't come with one from the factory. I'm sure some companies will be selling them like hotcakes soon.

So you’re the infamous owner of the one flawless Audi! Audi has been looking for you for many years, as they need you to be the one customer who can honestly state their satisfaction with an Audi in their new commercial.

Hey there! I can look into your Lightning’s window concerns on my end if you’d like. Will you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership info?

Let me get this straight, you and Ford are more concerned about door squeaks than someone who was about to take delivery only to find out Ford shipped a truck with non working heated seats and HVAC heat to which I assume before shipment all was checked off as working. Truck is paid for and a week later still don't have it. Nice, can't wait for the Ford survey.

I took delivery the first week of July, and the truck has been amazing,
except the same (recent) issue with the charge port door frozen solid in cold temps (no rain/snow) and not being able to open it for charging.
Dealer ordered a new port door.
I’m just leaving it ajar for now.

And then there’s the 2 mystery rattles that have been there since the start:
one from the moon roof,
and one from the dashboard- passenger side.
if I turn up the radio I can drown them out enough that I forget about them , until the next drive 🤔

otherwise, she’s a gem!
