My experience with a F150 without a tonneau cover, and an F150 with one....I saw no difference.

Which surprised me. I thought maybe at least 1 mpg....something. But no difference.
Right. It's a myth.

Thanks everyone. You can probably guess I'm new at this EV thing. I have a Lariat ER. I'm going to try a round robin trip today I hope, from Mesa along Hiway 87 to Hiway 188 to Globe (fast charger there if I need a quick top up) then US 60 back to Mesa. Slightly over 200 miles. Starting at 90% charge, trip planner says I'll get home with 20%, but I don't think it takes into account the elevation changes on this trip.
Okay, I did the trip as outlined above. Ambient temp was 107-109, AC was on set at 73. I religiously followed the speed limit using adaptive cruise although it nearly killed me to do so.

I left the house with what was supposed to be 90% charge but truck said 89%. I downloaded the route from fordpass trip planner but for the life of me I could not find it when I went to the nav page in the truck, so I put it in manually.

Miles/kwh had a low of 1.5 and a high of 3.1 climbing and descending the hills on the route. I did not recharge in Globe, the restaurant where the chargers were located was closed and I had a serious call of nature issue. Speeds varied from 35/45 in town to 55/65 outside towns.

When I got back to the house, I had 21% battery left and a predicted 55 miles of range left, trip planner was pretty close with battery prediction (20%). I zeroed trip 2 before we left and the results were, 200.7 miles total, 3:54:33 total time, and an average 2.3 mi/kwh. I don't think that's too bad considering everything.
