...for the next couple of days while my dealership fixes some issues with my truck.
  1. Two dents that happened during shipping. Either on the way the dealership or when it was being shuttled back and forth for a month between the 2 plants. Dealership spotted them, showed them to me and are fixing them. One very minor, and one moderate.
  2. Adding a lock for the spare tire. No cost to me but apparently when they receive it it's in 30 different pieces and needs to be assembled.
  3. Fixing a section near the rear passenger wheel well, right above the running board. I didn't notice it until I got home and thought it was mud. Then next day really looked at it and it's either metal or possible tape with layers of paint built up on it.
  4. Figuring out my securicode. My truck didn't come with the card that shows the factory code, which I guess has been an issue. And the two key in the slot method for modern push button start Fords doesn't appear to work on the Lightning, so I think they're going to have to hook it up while they have it.
So I got to enjoy my Lightning for a few days before turning it in yesterday, and I'll hopefully have it back before the weekend. My dealership has been incredibly helpful and apologetic through the process, and provided me with a brand new Escape, off the lot, to drive while I'm without my truck.

Number 4 worked when I misplaced my code card

I did the two two keys in the cup holder slot to get the code to show up on the dash display
Well that's good to hear, but now I'm going to ask for your, and anyone else who was able to get it to work's help.

Both I, and then one of the techs at the dealership attempted to do it. We did the following:
  1. Truck off.
  2. Pull cover at bottom of cupholder.
  3. Put first key in (we did it with buttons forward, back, keyring up and down)
  4. Push power on button without break, wait 10 seconds.
  5. Push power button again without break.
  6. Pull key.
  7. Put in other key in the same direction as first (again, tried all directions).
  8. Push power button again without break.
  9. Waited for the pop ups to cycle through.
Basically, the pop up screen would just cycle from "push break to start" and another screen, but never actually showed my code.

So, what did we both do wrong, miss, or what did you do instead? I'd love to have the proper sequence.

Not sure if this helps but I never remember getting a code. However with the FordPass App I was able to setup an emergency start passcode when setting up phone as a key.

Again not sure if this is different than what you are trying to get.

XLT here so unfortunately PAK is not an option here. And I'm just looking to get my factory securicode for the keypad on the door.

i'm pretty sure everything you did was what I did except the video says wait only 5 secs. I know i put the fob in the slot with the key ring up.

Interesting. Well, I guess I'll try again once I get it back, if the dealership doesn't hook it up and find it for me.
The kid doing the PDI on my truck thought the card was supposed to go into the filing system so he turned it in to the admin and it ended up in the sales office record folder. You may ask them to check to see if it got accidentally stuck in there.

Nice. I'll do just that.

My sales person said he didn't see it at all, and thought that was odd. Apparently not odd enough to mention it to me until I came back and asked about it though...

Got the truck back today and retried it, and it worked! Wanted to say thank you.

We both definitely waited too long both with leaving the truck on during the first key cycle, and more importantly took too long with popping the 2nd key in after pulling the 1st.
