It's only going to be available on the 2023 Mach-e. After doing a bit of googling, it looks like there is some CYA language about being available to existing vehicles at a later time. We shall see....Oh looks like hands free lane change, was that available before? I usually just change lanes myself.
I'll be curious to hear your experience around Austin, I use BC as much as I can but it drops out very frequently... rarely get more than a mile or 3 without a dropout. Still worth it for when it works, but a bit annoying. Thanks for posting this! It's great to see all the major highways in the ATX metro will be BC capable, instead of just a big blue blob!
If you look through the vehicles, it says 2023 Mach E, but then just says “Ford Lightning Trucks” which sounds like the Mach E might not have required hardware. Thanks for posting this! It's great to see all the major highways in the ATX metro will be BC capable, instead of just a big blue blob!
Also...I'm just seeing this. It's not confidence inspiring that it is for "Select 2023 Ford vehicles". I've got PTSD from Audi promising software updates but never delivering. Please @Ford Motor Company, don't disappointment me. If I'm going to pay $600 for BC, it better come with iterative improvements for many years.
