Well that’s just plan stupid, and not well enforced. We have one with a coffee stand regularly.

Seems like congress should make that change for charging and even gas stations.

Nope, they should just sell the land and recoup the cash. Around here at least there are rest stops that have been closed for many years. Some within a few miles of bustling interchanges. Complete freaking waste.

If that’s the case, how does Maryland have two rest plazas with gas and food courts on I-95? I don’t think that section is a toll road.

Apparently Maryland got grandfathered. It’s time to let every state do it, those rest areas look great.
