Is there any way to tell if my doors are locked/unlocked on the Ford Pass app?

Why wouldn't Ford include a function that allows me to see if my doors are locked or unlocked on the Ford Pass app? It's pretty dumb that after a few seconds the checkmark goes away and there's no way to check it later. Am I missing something?

There is quite a lot the app could do but doesn't. But we do get to pay $800 a year for Blue Cruise!

unfortunately, I've the same concern, and like that the checkmark shows when it performs the action, but dissatisfied that it does not continue that checkmark until something changes - my option is to only lock it again, if I'm not sure I did in the first place.

I do like, tho, that the app allows you to do this from ANYWHERE, even from Another FordPass app on another phone, like my Wife's....

The issue here is server hits and drawing down the battery of the vehicle. Should the app poll the car constantly, 24/7, every 15 minutes to display the latest lock status? No.

Ford's ICE vehicles don't do this either.

Since walk away lock doesn't work on the Lightning (yet), either hit the lock button on the door or push 7/8 and 9/0 or put your finger over the lock button (with the fob/PaaK) in your pocket, or pull out your fob and lock it.

It's not hard. If you need the app to tell you that you haven't locked the door because you keep forgetting to lock it, it won't.

Don't know what to tell you. It is what it is. The STATUS of the lock doesn't show in FordPass, but you can lock or unlock the doors and it will acknowledge that it was completed, then it goes away.

A little bit of research prior to buying the truck it would have been apparent to you you would be downgrading from a software side of things in moving from Tesla to Ford.

Obviously there are several pros and cons to that transition, but its a fairly resounding consensus Tesla software is much better.

If you are iOS user there are several things you can do with Apple Shortcuts, one of them being checking lock status and even triggering locks.

no it's not obvious. FP is not always connected to your vehicle. To have it tell you without initiating a command would require a permanent connection or a constant pinging every few seconds. Same thing happens when you hit the lock button. it pings the truck and locks/unlocks it.

So in Farley's latest Tweet, he shows a screenshot of FordPass that certainly doesn't match the current version. It looks to me like Lock/Unlock is now a toggle button which should show exactly this.
