2024 F150 Lightning Flash
I have a 2024 Flash and bought it back in July. Until this morning, I have never seen the maximum power be reduced from 100%. Today it is down to 91%. I have run the vehicle down below 42% SoC before this without losing maximum power. It was somewhat chilly this morning -- around 38F -- but the truck has seen that before and not dropped max power before. Am I starting to experience a battery module failure? Any other explanations for this?

I forget the reference points but SOC's below 50% and cool / cold temps will trigger an lower power available to the motors. If memory serves me well it was a bit colder than your 50°

Hmmmm... the battery temperature gauge shows right in the middle. I didn't see this issue with my 2023 XLT ER in similar conditions.

Can't be classified as an issue if it's by design, can it?

Noticed this from the start, system will limit your max power depending on a variety of factors with SoC being the primary one. I've seen mine go down to 95% when at around 40% SoC and steadily go down from there. Lowest was about 80% power at 20% or so SoC. I think it was TFL that ran their Lightning down to less than 5% SoC but their power was limited to around 50% at the lowest.

Doesn't seem normal to me. I have never taken detailed notes but I think it only starts limiting the max power when you get down to 15-20% ish. And it shouldn't at all if the battery temperature is good. 50 F is not cold at all. Should probably check for codes with an OBD reader
