Don’t understand how and why some dealers contacted their reservation holders regarding the October 26 date without getting any official notifications from Ford. According to many of this forum the October 26 date was a fact and 100% going to happen. Now many are saying that it was postponed or moved to December. Something that was never truly scheduled cannot be postpone! Bottom line, NO ONE has any real idea as to when the ordering date is.
Yes this is what I'm trying to understand with this Mike Levine guy. Is he saying that all these dealerships just made this date up? If that is true does he not have a major problem with that? How can Ford be happy with this

This 100%^^

If a dealer is gonna lie to me, I'm going to make them do it to my face.
They live and breath lying to potential customers' faces. Don't threaten them with a good time!

Despite his position in the company, I don't trust the guy further than I can throw him. He loves basking in the fluff tweets and then sometimes vaguely replies to a concerning tweet here-and-there. Doesn't strike me as the type who genuinely cares about the customers.

Why would I possibly want to waste my time going to the dealership?
Ever since I contracted leprosy, I crave human interaction. Being this hideously disfigured, I can only get people to talk to me when they are trying to sell me something.

Had set Appt to my local dealer, they tried to flip me to an ICE-150, can’t be mad at their tenacity.

Dealers did not make this date up. It was in the Inventory locator reminding dealers to set pricing parameters since order banks were opening today.

SEE PICS BELOW:

You can also see the selection in the locator for ext battery or std battery. These things did not just pop up today was there for a few weeks now. Ford has been very poor at communication with dealers and dealers were believing the info provided by them.

So in a way, he isn't being clear either which is making dealers look bad when we just went off the information provided to them. I am just as disappointed as everyone else, however I am more aggravated with the misleading information we have been given as dealers.

I'm not understanding the outrage here, even if Ford didn't accurately communicate with their dealer network. You're not going to get your truck any faster if you order on 10/26 instead of 12/24. Maybe this is a way to weed out the people who never really wanted one in the first place, LOL?

Seriously, I do wonder if this is somehow tied up with the EV credit in the reconciliation bill. MSRP cutoffs could influence the final pricing structure for upper trim levels.

I guess it depends on if you value your own time and customer experience. I personally had to miss an important meeting at work to drive to the dealership for an appointment they made then they acted like I was wrong for coming in. It's about respect not about delivery dates. That's just me though others won't mind

Yea I am surprised he would say that. Guess he didn't even know what we were seeing as dealers? I just want to know pricing so I can plan out my order, and be informed when people call and ask or send in reservations. We are still getting them daily, even more so today....?‍♂

With you 100% about the respect. We all know supplies are limited with the current market, most are being patient, but making customers feel like they are being misled and wasting time is not cool at all. Regardless.
