I wont own a first production year Ford (or probably any car maker) ever again. So they better hurry up and release Gen 2 so I can wait a year and see how cheap I can get one for.

Anybody here own a GM BEV model? I don't know anyone who does and would like to hear what their experience is as far as issues, software updates and dealer support. I do know the Service Manager at our local Honda dealership and found out that the Honda Prologue is totally a GM EV chassis and electronics. My friend says they are having tons of issues and they have to use GM support which is apparently a total pooch screw.
I have a 2023 Bolt EUV, have had it two years and still haven’t had to bring it into the dealer. Everything works. It has OTA capability, but I don’t think I have ever had an update. I also haven’t been on forums looking for updates. The Super Cruise is much better than the 1.2 BC I have in my 2024 Flash.

Love to see the technical specifications regarding the 123kwh pack!!!
It would be neat if it’s LFP or some different chemistry… but with the reduction in range and horsepower I’m guessing it’s just cost cutting on the existing battery to encourage you to upgrade to Lariat

Sounds like that is the case, the plan was to introduce it mid year MY2024, that's pushed back to MY2025.

I would not Understand the point of the same chemistry and just ~6% drop in capacity. Seems pointless. I would think it was have to be some sort of a more economical battery pack like LFP

Agree it seems pointless. Unless you’re trying to cut costs. Batteries are expensive.

Managing A different sku would cost more than 6% capacity savings

It's not to benefit the consumer.

9 kWh difference in packs.

122 / 9 = 13.55.

So, for roughly every 14 Flash trucks sold, the battery on the 15th is a cost savings for Ford.

EDIT: Flash battery is 122kWh, not 123.
