Keyless Entry won't open my tailgate (Lightning Lariat)

According to the manual, when you use the Keyless Entry pad, you can press
5-6 to open the tailgate
7-8 to open the frunk

On my Lariat, when I try this, 7-8 opens the frunk but 5-6 won't open the tailgate.
Has anyone else tried this?

I'll test mine Friday AM. It's pouring Cats and Dogs here (in Caco Maine) and my Lightning is quite a ways from the house.

It someone closed the gate manually it won’t works for me.

@LightningLover You are right. It's a bug in the software. The Frunk works properly (opening with the pressing of the 7-8 key), but the Tailgate does NOT open (with the pressing of the 5-6 key.) Does anyone know how we tell @Ford Motor Company about this bug?

Two methods:

1. Hey @Ford Motor Company. Looks like there is a bug in the tailgate opening software.

2. I've already had a side conversation with a Ford insider on this since it's not just my truck.

I also just noticed this today when I tried using the keyless entry pad for the first time. The other functions work but the tailgate doesn't open.

Also, I would suggest to @Ford Motor Company that the function should work to open AND close the tailgate/frunk, not just to open it.
