I am running a LECTRON adapter with a 48amp Wall connector to charge the Lightning.
While a standard J1772 plug fits smoothly (We have 2 chargers in the garage), the adapter is quite snug. Works fine and all but quite snug.
Does anyone else have this issue?

Mine fits nice and tight. I don’t need to yank it to get it out, but it’s certainly a tighter fit than my Tesla charger to tesla adapter. It’s also a tighter fit than external/public J1772 plugs.

Yeah. Not having to kill it to pull it out. But not smooth like the J1772.
But just a little concerned about the force needed to insert as the face of the charge port seems to flex a bit.

wonder what a little high grit sandpaper would do:unsure:

Not much. From what I understand both the Teslatap and lectron adapters had issues with the ground pins and not the plastic So it’s the metal piece that’s preventing a smoother action. It’s most apparent with the higher amperage ones 48A+

Interesting. I don’t have access to another J1772 vehicle except another lightning. Guess I could see how it fits in my Tesla adapter

Can confirm the 80A TeslaTap adapter fits too tightly. Care is required to not damage the port on the car. From my interactions with their support I am not sure how helpful they would be if you did, either...

Wr have some much larger, bulkier QC brand 80A adapters which fit better that we leave permanently connected to our HPWCs at home but I think they may not longer be available.

Use of dielectric grease can help.

I also measured the outer plug shroud vs my J1772 charger and they appear the same. Will have to look at the pins too

Had the same adapter with a Tesla Gen 2 Wall Charger, just be careful as it seems to be very hot if you attempt to remove right after charging. It worked well for 6 months, no issues other than the extreme heat.

No, I ended up switching to the FCSP that came with the Truck, no because of the heat being produced but because I needed faster charging daily in order to make my commute. But now I can unplug in the middle of charging without feeling heat coming off the handle.

No heat on mine. Gen2 as well and use it for the R1T and the Lightning

Good to hear. Do you have any cancerns about the PINS and damage to the trucks from using it? assuming yours is a tight fit as well.
