Use a charger that you can time for. Set the times you are normal home or discounts that your electricity company may have

I could,. But why bother. It would cost a couple hundred for the EVSE (vs. what we paid for our Grizzl-e) and as I said - if someone is desperate, they can use it.

I installed an Emporia 48A charger outside. I'm not concerned about someone using the charger but it is set up to not run overnight since I have solar and have it configured to maximize use of solar energy produced. I work from home so daytime charging is just fine for me. I do have a motion activated camera covering the area though. If someone were to use the charger, at least I'd know!
