Understood….its a hypothetical comparative analysis, but computed from observed (collected) “real world” data…..making it interesting none the less. 🤓

UPDATE:
SR Lariat running the whole week without A/C -> 291 mile range at 100% charge !

My EPA 230 is being blown up by over 30% more.

Might even reach 300 miles on a standard range battery soon as the weather becomes more temperate and don't need to roll down the window...

Is that also 100% city? Very impressive. I have a 52 mile round trip commute for work. I currently do roughly 70 city/30 highway but can easily modify route to be 100% city. You've got me thinking if the extra 10 min would be worth that extra efficiency.

Yes, 100% city driving. No faster than 45 MPH. All bumper to bumper urban crawl or coasting/braking constantly.

25 mile round trip daily which means I won't have to charge for 10+ days.

Single occupant - nothing to weigh down the truck.

Hoping by October / November when I won't need any climate controls (no heat, no A/C) and no need to roll down the windows might reach 300 mile range which would be just astounding!

I am more impressed with this truck than I had expected.

Lariat ER Stock with Max Tow with current 1,800 miles on it after a month.

Just returned from 1,000 mile six day road trip to Dearborn from KY. Averaged 55-60 mph interstate with one pedal and adaptive cruise as often as possible. Six DC EA Charges to 90% showing 300-315 Ranges which kept slowly increasing each time. Was able to charge on a 350 kw charger all but one time (mostly 60%-90% in about 40 minutes). Trip averaged 2.7 m/kwh. Used every bit of my 250 "free" EA KWs.

Now at home and settling into my normal rural road 10 miles to town, 10 miles home at 35-45 mph. Each night Ford Mobile Charge to 100% and after four nights showing range of 360 miles. Last night charged 120v test (14 hours, 2-3 miles/hr.). Nearly all the time indicate 2.8 - 3.2 m/kwh on Guess-O-Meter.

Temperature 70-80 and no warm-up and range begins to increase after about 10 minutes of driving. AC runs all the time and often open Moonroof. Two Hundred pound load normally in bed with about 350 pounds of passengers.

BTW - While in Detroit (unfortunately did not make it to Auto Show) I ran into a Ford Plant Manager and one of his Engineers who had come over from Toronto for the show. Had long discussion about Lightning likes/dislikes. Showed them my solution to inside Frunk button (covered with taped plastic cover) and that they could fix the problem with a software update whereas button would be disabled while truck was moving. He said he definitely would pass on my comments. Showed them my charge/range logs and they seemed happy that they are close to what they predicted.

Here's my best range yet. Keep in mind I've got a STANDARD Range.

As I mentioned a while back, I went with the Standard Range specifically because I knew it would be more than enough for my real world driving pattern.

I reserved mine right after the announcement that the SR would be about 230 (which was more than my Mach-E's SR of 211)... and at that time they said the 300 mile Extended Range would be $10k extra so I didn't want to pay that much for 70 more miles.

As it turned out, the EPA on the SR stayed the same as the original 230 promised, but they bumped the ER to 320... so if I'm getting 300 on my SR... how high are people getting with their ER?

It's been nice to save on gas money having a take home vehicle but I can't do anything without going back home prior to running errands or picking up a beer or 12 on the way home.
The gas savings is HUGE. My 2016 cost me $75 - $100 per week on fuel. My electric costs are literally zero because I charge after midnight, use free chargers when shopping, and get a rebate from Con Edison that's more than the cost of the electric.

TLDR summary, I had a 10% increase in battery consumption by increasing my speed from 62 MPH to 65 MPH.

A few weeks ago I made the trip to Kansas City in my XLT SR with the cruise control set to 62 MPH (three under the speed limit). I arrived at the O.P. KS DCFC with 22% charge after 196.5 miles of travel. Average temperature was 83 degrees. No wind. Route energy was 96%. Trip computer said 2.4 miles per KWh.

Today I made the identical drive except I set the cruise control to 65 (speed limit). I arrived at the exact same DCFC location with 12% charge. Average temperature was 72 degrees. Virtually no wind. Route energy was 97%. Trip computer said 2.2 miles per KWh.

The power required for the increased air resistance from 62 MPH to 65 MPH is 15.2% more. (65 cubed divided by 62 cubed). The slightly cooler temperatures increase wind resistance slightly. 72 degree air is 2% more dense than 83 degree air. So the slight drop in temperature probably accounts for 2.5% of the increased trip energy. This temperature change correlates with a previous return trip from KC at 62 mph when the temperature was 20 degrees lower and I had a 5% increase in energy consumption.

It would appear that at 65 MPH wind resistance accounts for 65% to 70% of the friction losses in the Lightning.

I've got about 600 miles on the truck so far in the first week and have never seen 300 miles on the GOM. I have a 80 mile round trip commute I do 4 days a week and regularly do 70-75 on the highway. I think my long-term average is only 2 mi/kW, but I was starting to wonder whether I had the standard battery or I just drive too fast and figured out it's option 2

Curious. Any total elevation gain/loss that could skew your range in either direction?

Curious. Any total elevation gain/loss that could skew your range in either direction?
It’s 300 feet net downhill from KC to Bartlesville. So I gain a bit on the return.

With one pedal on my Pro has been getting 1.6 to 2.1 only a 36 miles commute. 100% showed me 199 miles range

When I turned off one pedal driving my range jumped to 229 and 2.6-2.8.

Gonna keep the one pedal off I guess!

Just crossed 1000 miles. Drive this thing like a golf cart after the turn when you get more sodas. Roughly equal mix of freeway and city driving. Pretty happy with it, especially with gas at $6.79 right now, while charging the truck costs $.31/min, or about $.147/mi.
