In the 35 years I’ve been driving I’ve gotten a total of four punctures that I can remember.

Two of them have happened in the last month on my Lightning. One in drivers front about 3 weeks ago and today in the drivers rear tire! Both in the center of the thread.

Are the tires from the factory made from a softer compound???

Truck only has 3,000 miles on it!!!

I think I’ll be changing out these tires pretty soon!!
I had 2 in 6,000 miles - one a total blowout from road debris and 2nd as a slow leak nail - Les Schwab Tire Centers fixed both for free & even came to me to patch on the 1st one - A+ for them.

odd, I had a random low tire warning at 9k that turned out to be a puncture that I got plugged at Discount. thought it was weird as there was no debris found. This thread is a bit validating, but It only about 10 of us, not really a significant number.

This little 5/8in phillips head machine screw punctured my tire and started a slow leak.

It went through near the center of the tire and not in a 'valley' but through the thickest part of the tire tread.

I heard a repetitive click as I drove home from the shopping center the other night, thought it must be a rock/gravel. But about 3 days later see a low tire pressure warning, fell to 19psi from 34. There is a Home Depot near where I parked, and they are notorious for sprinkled hardware on the tarmac.

Put a plug in it and drove around to seal it, seems to be holding air after several hours, we'll see if it holds over night.

It was kind of surprising how small the screw was, I expected it to be longer to have struck air.
