I really hope this doesn't become common if the allocations continue to be very low for dealerships. What mine may have said during the reservation phase I guess could change once the ordering starts.

Someone give that man the Twitter handle he needs to knock this dealership down. I've had too many beers to search for it!After placing my Wave 1 order on 1/7 and the dealer accepting it, Greg Darnell Ford in Midwest City, Ok called me today to tell me that because they would only be getting 1 Lightning this year, that they would be marking the truck up $20,000 (literally a 50% markup over the price of the PRO that I ordered). And that I would need to decide over the weekend whether or not I was willing to pay that markup, and if not, they would cancel my order and refund my deposit so that they could sell my truck to somebody else.
Report them to ford. See how quickly they change their tune. Did you reserve online? if so, did you take a screenshot of your order summary showing no ADM? Next, did you go into dealer and sign buyers order with all the numbers? I keep repeatingg this in every forum because it'll be your protection from situations like this. People, you need to do your order online, screenshot everything you can, and go in immediately after to dealership and sign your purchase order! If you have a paper trail, call this number 1-800-392-3673. Let ford know what's happening. Also, walk into the dealership with all your papers in hand (if you have any) tomorrow when they're busy. Get loud with them so all the customers hear. Tell them that you ALREADY reported this to ford and they'll be contacting them about their actions because "their actions are threatening to you-" (straight from the ford memo) Take a copy of the ford memo with you..yadayada-make a scene, stand firm, but don't get arrested. But God, i pray that you already signed a purchase order. If not, do everything in your power to have them write one up that says NO ADM, NO dealer ADDONs if you shake them up.After placing my Wave 1 order on 1/7 and the dealer accepting it, Greg Darnell Ford in Midwest City, Ok called me today to tell me that because they would only be getting 1 Lightning this year, that they would be marking the truck up $20,000 (literally a 50% markup over the price of the PRO that I ordered). Sent a email to Fox News in OKC about it hope it helpsSomeone give that man the Twitter handle he needs to knock this dealership down. I've had too many beers to search for it!
Do NOT respond to their demand to know by the weekend without messaging/hearing from Mike Levine. Just ignore their emails and do not accept their phone calls. String them along until Mike makes them change their minds.https://twitter.com/mrlevine?lang=en this is the ford executive guy that worked some magic for some that were in your predicament. Try contacting him.
I called Ford immediately at the number you listed below. After being transferred twice, I was told that there’s nothing that they could do, and that I needed to change dealerships, which I then explained wasn’t possible after I ordered. They then said that they would escalate it. We’ll see if anything comes of it.Report them to ford.
I did reserve online and I do have a screenshot, plus my order is still available online and still shows no ADM.Did you reserve online? if so, did you take a screenshot of your order summary showing no ADM?
Contrary to what you may hear on Long McArthur Ford videos, you cannot walk into the dealership and force them to give you a purchase order for a truck that you ordered online. They can just say no, and there is nothing you can do about it.Next, did you go into dealer and sign buyers order with all the numbers? I think it is a bit premature to take the nuclear option especially before allowing the proper channels an opportunity to work their magic. I did get a text not long after that call saying, ”My GM said he is going to try to work with you.”, but I didn’t even see it until I was off the phone with Ford. I did not respond. If you have a paper trail, call this number 1-800-392-3673. Let ford know what's happening. Ya, until they make you sign a no-resale for one year provisionOakridge Ford, London Ontario ADM = $10,000 CAD.
The "product specialist" gave me this line of B.S.:
"Based on extremely limited opportunity, the dealer premium is required. Among other things, it’s a premium to ensure yourself one of the very few Lightning units to arrive in 2022. Ford is building less than 2% of all reservations placed. I do however understand if you believe the $10,000 is prohibitive to you going forward. You’re essentially paying for privilege to be one of the first to own this truck, that will be worth excessive money on the secondary market."
