All kidding aside; been lurking here a bit while making my decision.

Tomorrow I take delivery of a '24 Lightning Lariat in Antimatter Blue. More to come. I have questions..so many questions ;)

Welcome!!!

I put this little PSA in the "Welcome" thread..your range will tank in winter...OTA updates are a total crapshoot...dealership responsiveness is highly variable...your battery module will fail (...or maybe not...at anywhere from 4%-100%...depending on who you ask)...there are a million thoughts on charging (only real consensus is don't go to 0% and avoid 100% consistently (or don't) - But search up MickeyAO for scientific research on the matter))...Ford Navigation totally sucks (only topic that is 100% agreement - get ABRP and PlugShare apps)...Guess O Meter (range estimate) is a liar...Tesla superchargers are the best (or not)....have a wrench handy to disconnect 12V for any problem you face (it works all the time 80% of the time)...and enjoy the hell out of the truck (or don't...and then complain incessantly about it's shortcomings)...

But in all seriousness...this an incredible forum with a ton of great information (both scientific and real world) with people who want to help one another.

Before you ask anything, make sure to do a thorough search and exhaust all resources. I got yelled at a couple of times already and I am new as well haha

Thanks for the warm welcome all - seems like a great place to be.

Any recommendations on a 'noob' thread for first time Lightning owner?

Over in Eastern/Central Montana (Billings). Truck pretty well is confined to daily commuting in the winter. At 60% charge in -20 degree temps it has a GOM distance of around 100 miles and reduces % power to between 75-90%. As soon as it goes back above 40 degrees 100% power and 60% charge nets 130 miles. Excited to start interstate traveling in the truck again with warmer weather.

So to summarize... The Lightning is the most amazing truck ever, or maybe not.

My middle school science teacher once looked at me dead in the face and asked "Joey do you know why they don't allow donkey's in school?" I laughingly replied "Donkey's in school? What are you talking about Mr. Stone?" To which he said "Because no one likes a smart ass..." My buddies proceeded to laugh at me and I never mentioned a word of it to my parents...because I knew if I did, they would give it to me also...old habits die hard.

Welcome. Great truck. You will be amazed at how great it is to drive. Then you will be frustrated as you get more adventurous. That's what this group is for. If you never leave your town and just do small/med daily commutes, you will not have any concerns. Obviously, there may be technical glitches that I think we all have experienced, but those are car specific and not owner induced.
