I'm looking for instructions to remove and replace the rear lightbar on my '22 Lariat. I've got 51,000 miles and a inop light bar on the tailgate, dealer says my vin is not part of the recall even though i have water in the light bar. I bought a used one off ebay and have worked on cars as a hobby my whole life, but this looks like a bunch of body clips to break the tailgate down till i get to the light bar fasteners.

Anyone know of any articles or videos on this subject?

Thanks

Did you check your VIN on Ford.com to verify that the dealer is correct?

dealer says my vin is not part of the recall
Did you ever receive a letter about the lightbar recall? It's been a while now but I was under the impression it was all of the early models.
Does the Ford website say anything about your vin?

I drilled four holes in my light bar at the bottom corners and center. This allows the water te escape. NO MORE FOG. it will probably void the warranty but if the leds are still working it will save you a ton of time.

I suggest calling the Ford BEV Team. This is a safety recall for moisture in the rear lightbar. If you have moisture in the rear lightbar, @Ford Motor Company should fix it, regardless of VIN. If they refuse to do so, I suggest filing a safety complaint with NHTSA.

Lytning is 100% correct, your dealer is not acting in good faith on this issue. Moisture inside the rear lightbar is a known defect and it IS definitely covered so long as there is no owner caused damage. Even outside warranty this WILL be 100% covered by FORD. Tell you dealer to call the BEV team on your behalf. For me the BEV team gave me an extended warranty to cover a lighting issue b/c I was out of warranty and that's the way they wanted to handle it financially.

I did a complaint with Ford (not Bev team though) and NHTSA in Jan when i noticed light bar was not working. I did not schedule a service with the dealer after calling them about the issue because i have no intention of paying $3000+ to have them fix it.

I will reach out to the bev team, cant hurt at this point. IDK if owning a Lightning and a Mach E will help my cause with them.
