The Mass Save EV charger rebate of $700 oddly does not seem to include the Ford Charge Station Pro charger. The model number is not included on the list of chargers that are included in the program. Has anyone received the rebate and, if so, what model number did you use? I cannot imagine that I am the only Lightning owner in Massachusetts who has come up against this and that there is not some easy solution.

Any information would be appreciated.

thanks

FYI - neither does a corresponding program here in Virginia, run by our very dominant electric power company, include the FCSP. I know this because I contacted them personally before installing my Ford Charge Station Pro.

🤷‍♂️

I am stunned by the failures of Ford leadership in recognizing that these programs exist and getting the proper certifications needed. How is it that so many manufacturers seem to understand how to accomplish this, yet Ford fails on multiple fronts. When the Ford Lightning Pro 2024 did not qualify for the Mass MOR-EV $7,500 rebate it was learned that they had not properly listed the vehicle.

The frustrating part is that any attempt to reach Ford customer service or leadership is futile. The 800 number is useless on its best day and leadership has so carefully blocked any access to reach them. This is a sign of a broken leadership culture!! I would think that any of their MBA marketing courses would have provided the education that customer recommendations to friends and family and repeat business is based upon the experiences in ownership. I just don’t think that they care. I look at their comp packages and those should warrant more than world class leadership or they should be replaced. Doesn’t Bill Ford see any of this? He should care more than anyone!

My Ford dealer is wonderful, but they cannot get answers either. If any Ford rep reads these posts, please take this criticism as something that you should look into. I am not holding my breath. It is a shame as the Lightning is a great product.

On that page, I am also stunned that Ford cannot see what Tesla has done right with some features and used those as a model for what is important. Better user interface and having the cameras record would be starters. Having to add a third party dashcam is ludicrous in an almost $80,000 vehicle that has many cameras.

Enough of my Ford rant for the day! :)

You need to use the EVSE equipment listed, the FCSP has never qualified, when / if mine dies I'll replace it with a compliant model, at the moment the benefits of TOU credits are so modest it's not worth my time to swap until the FCSP dies.

It was not mine that was at issue. My dealer found that the 2024 Pro version was not properly “registered” by Ford to qualify and it took a lot of effort to get that added. I believe that the issue is now resolved, but seems to be similar to the Charge Station Pro problem where Ford has not done what is needed to get that on the list.

This has to have a lot of people with the identical issue.

I believe that this is purely an issue of Ford not properly listing the device with the program. There is no reason that it would not qualify!

I am not talking about Time of Use (TOU) credits. I am talking about the Mass Save $700 rebate for installation of a listed charger.

ahhh, yes, no I did not apply for it either, only got the federal credit for costs related to installing my FCSP, service upgrade and wiring, not the unit itself.

There is no reason that it would not qualify, other than Ford not doing what they need to do.
If you are in Massachusetts and bought that charger and had it installed, it should qualify, except that the model number is not listed with the hundreds of others that have been listed.
I was hoping that someone in Massachusetts had found an answer to this. If so, please let me know. I have called Ford, without any response or help, written to Bill Ford today, hoping that his email address at least directs to someone who cares to help find answers, and have written the leader of the energy efficiency programs at one of the three public utilities to see if they have answers.

Thanks for the comments.
