If No, then you do not have a reservation, you will be waiting a couple of years to place a reservation/order until the remaining 185,000 reservationists have placed an order MY-2023 & MY-2024

No, do I still need a reservation to order one? I thought the reservation was just for the first wave.

You need a reservation to be invited to order. You can’t order without a reservation, and right now the reservation bank is closed.

There’s a 99% chance of you not being able to get a Lightning at all by Dec 2022 if you don’t have a reservation. The remaining 1% is if you pay a premium to someone who has a car in stock or when the mannequins are available for sale.

But I don’t think that will fit your value question…

Your only chance of getting a MY 22 in time to also reap the tax credit is to buy an untitled canceled order or a mannequin from a dealer. Prepare to pay. Dearly.
