My daughter starts at USM in Hattiesburg this year after graduating high school. It sure seems Ike charging infrastructure is even worst in this state then Alabama. I wonder if they have a lot of anti EV laws there? I know there is options but from Tuscaloosa to Hattiesburg is very thin and most reviews are not positive. I have talked with the GMC dealership and then have a charger open, just not very fast.

PlugShare is your friend.

Tesla SuperChargers will be opening soon, possibly February, if not in Spring. Maybe that will help you.

Yup, very familiar with previous MME and now Lightning. I do not consider and charger maxing out at around 50 as a terrible option.

If I was on a trip, that would be unbearable to me. 131 x 60% (20% to 80%) / 50 = 1.6+ hours. Did my October Mach-E trip with a bad HVBJB and 90 minute charging. No thanks. I find a 67kW ChargePoint near unbearable.

Yes.....indeed almost the of Mississippi has no meaningful FCDC stations except in one location that I know of and use it on my travels to Louisiana.
For Alabama, I85 and I65 is your best choice of travel with FCDC stations every 80-100 miles.
Let us see what February will bring for us with the Tesla supercharging network.
Don't give up and good luck.

I live in southern Mississippi on the Alabama, Mississippi state line.
They have three chargers at that Walt Massey GMC Cadillac. 2 of them are 50Kwh not super fast but they're not slow either and you can get to them any time..

And once they open the tesla superchargers there's like 8 at the target in Hattiesburg...

But yeah Mississippi tends to be a black hole...

Minus the I 10 corridor plenty of chargers in Gulfport and Biloxi

ya they were pretty nice and asked about the truck when I called.

Unfortunately those Tesla are listed as 150kwh, that makes them V2 Superchargers and will not be available to us even with an adaptor. I've been following the Tesla threads and it will be helpful for my gulf coast Beach trips and FL, but not Mississippi. I don't mind the 50 kwh stations when alone, but with wife she isn't thrilled.

Right now I'm really not seeing a huge help for my limited trips with Tesla V3 and V4 as only option so I'm not ordering the adapter yet.

What does that even mean? Never heard of any "anti EV law."
