I will do this later today and get back to everyone.

One difference apparently 2024s got is showing the real-time charge rate in the upper-right of the IPC screen. Also, my IPC shows the SoC on the left side charge status indicator, which some have and some do not have.
Can you get a snapshot of the charge rate? I'd love to see what they added so I can dream about an OTA for the rest of us. :)

The easiest way (for me) is to set the one-time charge limit in the truck using the Charging app. It can also be done with the Fordpass phone app.

Setting the one-time limit applies to the next or current charging session. Once that session is done it reverts back.

The truck defaults to 90% for DCFC, the only way to override this is setting one-time limits. For Level 2 charging, it defaults to 100%, but you can set a location and and lower limit for that location. The one-time limit can be used to override that. For example at home I set the limit to 80%. When I'm going on a trip, I manually set the one-time limit to 100%.
I've found the charge limits to be hit or miss, mostly miss. Just yesterday I set my charge limit to 90% in the truck before turning it off, saved it twice (because the first time it doesn't stick), and plugged in at home as usual. This morning it's charged to my normal home limit of 80%.

Moving the slider in the FordPass app seems more reliable, but that permanently adjusts the limit for my location and I have to change it back later. No big deal really, but I wish it would work as advertised.

In my example , the last screen showing a setting of 89%, was still present later this afternoon when we left the house to go to lunch, but after that "Run" cycle it reverted to default 90%, I noticed it on return trip to the house.

This temporary setting meant primarily for DCFC sessions in process, not for future uses, while several people have reported success controlling the level-2 charging session with it, I think having a regular store location-based charging scheme will overrule a customized temporary charging limit.

Thanks for all of the responses! I was able to figure out that the Charging app had all I needed to set the charge target to 100%. I did not think to use that app when in the truck. I don't DCFC very much, so it's all still somewhat new to me.

Most of us don't, and if you want to get the most out of owning an EV you shouldn't. At DCFC prices driving electric starts to equal or surpass the cost of gas. Stick to home charging as much as possible, preferably on a time of use plan with super cheap rates. Combined with my Solar, my cost per mile of charging at home is damn near 0. Without solar its about $0.04/mile, with gas I think my old F150 was about $0.20/mile when gas is $3.50, but on DCFC it's about $0.27/mile. Obviously gas fluctuates a lot, but so does DCFC if you have memberships an such. But nothing will beat charging at home.

How do I override the default 90% fast charging limit on the Lightning?
I would suggest limiting charging to as low as you can tolerate, as some lab tests have shown battery life deteriorates going above 75% charge, and long deep charges (say 10-90%), especially fast charging (DCFC), is harder on the battery cells/modules/pack. And if DCFC-ing away from home, the charging speed drops radically after 80% and beyond.

It will be interesting to see charge rates for the future LFP (lithium iron phosphate) batteries vs. our LiNMC (lithium nickel manganese cobalt) batteries. LFP do not deteriorate as much going to 100%, I think.
