Mobile connector cold/orange light Jerry rig fix

So anything below zero my mobile connector would only go for about 15 minutes and do the orange light and charging would stop. Cut a hole in one end of an insulated soft cooler for the plug in end and put the unit inside, and zipped the zipper around the other cord to the truck. No problem since, went down to -12 last night.

Further update on this woke up to -21° this morning and wanted to charge for a few hours before heading somewhere this evening. It would trip out the orange light and quit charging after a minute. after multiple attempts I grabbed one of the big rocks I keep on top of my wood-burning stove as a heat sink and wrapped it in a towel and put it in the cooler with the mobile connector. Charging good now…

So, in extreme conditions of the great white north, one may need to precondition the FMC to charge or precondition ones Lightning!!

this is the fmc which is very likey the root of the problem need a reputable aftermarket one for home.
