My build date just moved another month later.... anyone else?

That might be a negative thing due to them having to compete for shared screens, a/c components and all the things the 15" screen doesn't need to be built. Never thought about that side of things.

True. More parts for sure with the extra buttons and dials. The funny thing is as Sandy Munro always said, that normally means higher costs... meanwhile removing all those buttons in favor of the larger screen is another $5000.

The XLT SR with the 312A package will be the rarest of all Lightnings. I wonder if the combination of parts needed to make it have created a weird constraint. Like the 12" screen and the SR battery but some of the Lariat 511A package technology features. Maybe Ford found something during production that forced them to delay that particular build combination?

Even though the Lariat has more overall complexity, Ford has focused their energy towards building it so the overall packaging may be more readily available.

To bad the communication with your dealer is so poor. You may need to show up on their doorstep and ask them to talk directly with their Ford rep about the possibility of switching you to a Lariat (not that it would come any sooner than your current build date).

Well, it moved again... This time a bit earlier.

First it was 6/13
Then it was 7/25
Then it was 8/3
NOW it's back to 7/25

Hopefully that's a sign that they're speeding up the line. Maybe everyone will be seeing a bump in the right direction.

Makes a lot of sense for me.

My late entry into the order phase (wave 6) for a Lariat SR in April had a 7/11 date and now updated production date of 6/13.

Seems like Ford is pushing the SR Lariat out first while the ER is being delayed behind ?

Drove around Dearborn this morning and lots and lots of Lightnings and ICE models in parking lots everywhere. Did see lots of Lightnings being moved around too indicating transport may be picking up pace but I’m not sure.

When I did my tour of the factory on Launch Day, there were fully built Lightnings all over the place, not just in the factory area. It was super exciting. We could tell there would be lots of customers getting their trucks very soon. Unfortunately for me, mine is still scheduled to be built July 25th.

Well... it just moved AGAIN... WAY BACK. Now it's 8/29/22... which means it could take at least another month or so to arrive.

By then, they will already be starting to build 23 model year.

Somehow I still think the dealer is responsible for this. I was the 2nd person to convert a reservation to an order... and they already have 6 people getting theirs this week.

XLT 312A SR Atlas Blue.

They just got 6 on their lot this week, including one exactly like it in Antimatter Blue... and I guess their demo that they're showing off on Tik Tok.

This dealer is so frustrating. I wouldn't care so much except they are directly responsible for why I don't have my truck. My truck wouldn't start last year, and after waiting over 4 months for them to try to figure out why, I gave up and traded it for a Mach-E while I wait for the Lightning. At that point they refused to have Ford Corporate send an engineer to help them, and the final straw was learning they had multiple trucks in their shop for over 6 months.

The funny thing is I'm also on the Cybertruck waiting list with a decently low reservation #. It looked for a while like Ford would win the race by nearly a year. It's funny how this race plays out. Tesla could potentially call first?
