2022 Lariat ER. After getting stuck in a mud pit I upgraded the wheels / tires to 20x9 Black Rhino Calico wheels with 275/60R-20 Nitto Ridge Grappler XL tires. There's now a slight rub on the front right when backing up and cutting the wheel all the way to one side. I was planning on installing a slight lift in the front via the Rough Country 0.75" leveling kit. However when reading the instructions they keep referring to modifying the rear as well. I don't want to adjust the rear unless I have to. Is there any harm geometry-wise in just lifting the front?

Would I be better off just seeing if I could trim whatever the tire is hitting and maybe lowering the rear slightly, so as not to affect range? I don't need a ton of clearance.

To get ahead of the questions I've found when searching:
  • Mileage surprisingly hasn't suffered that much yet, but I need to do more driving to confirm. I still get over 305 miles at 100%
  • BlueCruise works fine. There is a weird thing where the truck sometimes drifts side to side within the lane but I don't know if that's due to the wheels or not, and it doesn't always happen
  • Yes, the wheels stick out further than I expected. My bad. I'm going to look into some custom fender flares, hopefully something like this.
Obligatory pics of truck with new wheel/tires:

Perfect amount of poke in my books..... (assuming your local law enforcers are ok with it). I wouldn't put flares on that - I prefer the cleaner look without them. Factory-size tires so I would expect your range to be pretty close to standard. A small leveling kit won't hurt the truck up to a couple of inches with an alignment. What was the offset on the Black Rhinos?

I expect you will see a range hit. The GOM tries to use driving history, so it won’t show up there for a while. Watch your MPK to get an idea of what’s going on.

I raised the front only at one point and had no issues. As far as a range hit, I have found that the the type of tires will affect range more than anything.

I have a similar setup, but not experiencing any rubbing. I've got 20x9 Fuel Vector wheels with +20 offset (OEM wheels are +44 for reference), Mickey Thompson Baja Boss 285/60R20 tires. I'm seeing a bit of poke as well - more than I thought it would be. Wouldn't mind adding those flares like that post you linked above, but mostly just alleviate the mud spray.

I'd like a more leveled look but would rather lower the rear than lift the front, but I don't have the funds or the expertise to do it myself. I'm also afraid of leveling and then getting that rear squat when hauling a load... I'd much rather put up with a little bit of rake to avoid that.

Not sure how much it would help the front wheel clearance, but it probably does help a tiny bit.
