I have a 23. Got excited when I saw a bunch of text on the screen after tapping on the Updates screen until I noticed this. Am I just stuck until they push again? Any way to tell what went wrong?

If you haven't seen or executed a INSTALL NOW button, then it's still loading, once done it should install if you have the automatic update switched on for a specific time, ie. 0100 hrs 7 days/week

Turned the truck on after an appt. this afternoon and saw that BC1.4 is ready to install tonight! I kinda mansplained at my wife on the drive home how cool this was...she smiled and nodded and humored me. I'm excited for our next highway drive after this update!

Went into truck (just now), turned on/check software updates/...no available updates.

No worries.

One thing I always do when I know a software update is pending is I plug in my EV charger. I always seem to have more success with the update installing if my Lightning is connected to a charger. I don’t have a logical explanation, it just seems to work better.

Still has the same message after letting it bake overnight. Strong wifi signal where it is parked and plugged in to the charger all night. Anything I can do to kick it or if it’s just another waiting game at this point?

Not Completed does not mean it’s still downloading. If it were still downloading it would show the status of Downloading with a progress bar.

Not completed means either the downloaded file was corrupted or the ford system cancelled the update for your vehicle for some reason.

There is no way to force another go after Not Completed status. You just have to wait until Ford pushes the update again to your specific truck.

Check that thread. I had the same problem and the FORScan reset fixed it.

Yup; I plug in my Lightning nightly (like my phone...this is the way), so I've never had an issue with an update thus far.

As expected, installed last night without issue. Re-read the release notes this morning over breakfast...can't wait to get out on the highway and give it a go!

Same for me so far no love. I've even adjusted the download time in the truck.to try and force it.

The setting you refer to is not a download time or "check for updates" time. This is a common misconception due to the wording of the setting.

It is the time that it will install inhibit updates like BC once it has downloaded. It will only download when the truck is on. That setting has nothing to do with getting the software initially.

Thanks for helping & looking at the background data, looks like file download corruption, only solution is wait for reissuance.

JUST installed this update on my '23 Lariat, seemed to install fine on the first try. Was planning to drive over to my dad's place today so that will be a good time to test it!
