No wifi menu

Hello everyone.

First of all, what a fantastic car! Already driven 25k, some problems with the range in the beginning, but this was solved by a reset.

can anyone help me. the knowledge level in the Netherlands is not good. Even the Ford dealers don't know how it works.

I know the car has WiFi, but it is not shown in the menu. Does anyone have an idea how I can get this to work??

To what purpose?

WiFi in the vehicle is used to update it, when the cellular modem can't connect, or for limited times when Ford wants to send the update over WiFi. Unless your vehicle was made for your market, you've probably found that the modem doesn't work (which is why it shows disconnected), and that can't be changed.

The only other use of WiFi is to watch Youtube and such, in markets where that is permitted.

And, there is a hotspot feature, that one can pay for, in some markets, to then connect devices in vehicle to the internet.

What are you trying to do with WiFi?

I want to use the ford app on the phone. I know that its only work with wifi.
When i want to use it with lte/4g/5g i need to change the tcu module for a europa version.

So the first step is to get the wifi working

My first question would be, is your vehicle's modem activated?
Next questions, have you set up a Ford online account with your VIN and have you paired the phone with the vehicle?

To add the vehicle to the Ford app requires the modem be activated to my knowledge. This requires transmission to the truck of a request to connect from a request made in the app.

Ik denk dat toen de truck in Amerika was, de modem werd geactiveerd. Maar in Nederland hebben we geen AT&T-netwerk, dus de modem heeft geen netwerk met een telecomprovider. Als ik wil dat dit werkt, zou ik de TCU-module moeten vervangen voor een Europese versie.
Dit is gepland.

Zou graag eerst het wifi-probleem opgelost willen krijgen.
Ik heb een account aangemaakt bij Ford. Ik heb de app gedownload en het vin-nummer ingevoerd.

De app wacht op bevestiging van de vrachtwagen. Dus als ik het op de een of andere manier met wifi kan verbinden, kan ik het bevestigen. waardoor er een verbinding ontstaat

You CANNOT activate the truck in FordPass with WiFi. That is my understanding.
