I am waiting for my PRO to be delivered the next few weeks. I asked my dealer to check the option of installing the OEM running boards since PRO doesn't come with any. Even though I have seen press PRO vehicles with the running board installed he is struggling finding any information of the part number or finding information on if this is doable. I don't want to go with generic running boards if possible. Was anyone able to look into this and find the part number and if it's possible to order? I can also wait and get it installed later, i am just trying to understand what my options are.

I was able to find them through my Ford online account. It shows you accessories that fit the Pro. They had a few options for running boards

I see those as well but that's a generic running board for any f150 not the lightning. I am talking about the running boards the upper trims come with. I want those if possible.

I want to put a retractable set in... Once I can figure out what fits and what needs to be migrated over, I'll be selling my OEM running boards. I imagine quite a few people will be doing the same.

Yep, I'm kinda sad my $80k truck couldn't find a way to have something that has been standard on high end models for years.

My preference is fixed running boards - one less thing to break and don’t have to worry about it jamming in snow and ice.

I wonder if it’san aero thing. The power boards und up tucking under, but I wonder if that affects the underbody are which may have influenced the decision.

I saw An interview where they dove into the aerodynamics and they stated a lot of research and wind tunneling went into the fixed boards to ensure it’s not creating air friction. BS? Marketing? Or truth? Idk..

I picked it in my build, but it got edited out. I was hopeful...

I live in Tampa, FL, so if I run into snow and ice down here we'll all have bigger problems

I emailed AMP asking if their current F150 retractable boards will work and they didn’t answer specifically, but did say they had the project in the works but no release date as of yet.

I would never pay dealer costs for them, maybe it doesn't meet your timeframe, but if AMP were to get an auto board out there will be enough people upgrade you should be able to pick up a set that someone takes off much cheaper than new, but likely they'll be in new shape.

i liked the style and they’re coated aluminum, unlike everything else I saw that was steel. Didn’t want them rushing out

I plan to install the power boards as soon as they're available. Never thought there'd be a market for the fixed OEM ones, but yeah I guess I would sell mine when I get the new boards. I'd hold out. Certainly would be half the cost of the dealer.

if you want Lightning running board (factory one off from Lariat) LMK. I see you are from Arlington VA, I am in Clakrsville, MD, which is 45 min away. I can meet you somewhere too. I am replacing them with something else. DM me if you are interested!

Yep, a bunch of us are going to be selling our fixed boards.

The deployable ones got cut from our builds when they couldn't get the parts together. They were under $300 and that's what was credited back to me instead of the nearly $2,000 they'll likely cost (installed) from the dealer after the fact. :(
