For those that ordered the Bilstein 6112s, which drivetrain option did you select at checkout? I'm wondering if there are different spring specs based on the different drivetrains.

I just ordered off shocksurplus.com and selected 4wd with the Powerboost. My reasoning based on that being the heaviest drivetrain, and closest to the weight of the lightning.

Thanks!

I have a 22 XLT, I put 6112’s and rides so much better. Don’t get me wrong I liked my mom’s Caddy and that floating feeling but not everyday. These trucks float alot in the front. I also put tuff country uni balls on it aswell to keep everything within spec. Awesome all the way around.

Looks great @dr1983! I love the color of your Lightning!

Did you do the install yourself? My 6112s should be shipping out this week (#5 height setting) and I'm stoked to put them in. I was considering upper control arms as well... Are the Tuff Country uni-ball arms the most economical option? I don't need anything crazy, just want to optimize geometry like you.

Thank you and yes took me 3 hours, i removed the cv axle from the knuckle, the sway-bar and the steering arm. Then removed the upper control arm and the brake line bracket and the abs pins. and let it rotate back and the lower arm held it up enough. yes the tuff country are the better ones I have them on my Titan XD and they are really great compared to the rancho control arms that always squeaked.

@dr1983 I was about to buy the Stuff Country UCAs when I saw this note in the product description:
"Requires aftermarket wheels with 5" backspacing or less"

I notice you have aftermarket wheels. Wondering if anyone has tried these control arms when. The factory wheels?

According to these specs, my Lariat wheels measure 20*8.5" with +45 offset:

Putting that into this calculator tells me that they have 6.52" of backspacing, which is definitely more than the 5" maximum for the UCAs:

I will probably just go with the factory UCAs until I change wheels later down the road, unless someone knows of UCAs that are compatible with this much backspacing.
