I received a solicitation to participate in a survey about Bluecruise yesterday so I filled it out. IT was fairly in-depth inquiring about my experience and impressions of Bluecruise. Towards the end it asked me how much I'd be willing to pay for it with choices such as $75/month, $800/year or something like a $8,000 lifetime purchase. I was taken aback, and answered no to all of them. It was at that point it occurred to me that Plugshare was clearly commissioned by Ford to conduct the survey..at least seemingly so. Why else would they be interested in my thoughts on this?

Did anyone else get this?

Yes. I did as well.
I also replied I would not pay for it at the prices posted after my 3-year trial. and complained about the random disconnects.

I might consider for trips if the monthly price came down but it would have to drop dramatically lower than the $75.00

I mean... what is Ford hoping for? I hope no one is EVER ok with paying those prices. BC is worth MAYBE $10/mo, $100/yr, $1000/ever. If they bundled BC, Built in hotspot, and Nav updates, maybe 150% of those prices. As it stands, CarPlay and Android Auto will handle everything I need.

I agree. I will not pay FORD those prices for BC. However, I could see myself paying a nominal amount to encourage Ford to improve the functionality and to provide OTA updates with BC improvements.

Personally I'm generally opposed to subscription for anything in my vehicle, so unless it's around the $5-$10 per month or $50-$100/year not going to be for me. The $800 per year number I've seen touted is beyond ludicrous!

Yes, I got the invitation. I highly doubt Ford is behind it.

Ford will be the first OEM to license Tesla FSD. Most likely in 2025 IMO.

Tesla can’t even make FSD work in the all of their own vehicles, that were presumably designed with all the proper hardware, in exactly the right locations to support it. I think it is very optimistic to think that anything other than a ground up redesign, with essentially Tesla hardware, will ever support Telsa FSD.

Currently FSD is a $12,000 option for new Teslas. No monthly option. I'm guessing folks roll that into the loan to lessen the shock.

We were clamoring for SC access and Farley saw the writing on the wall with EA so he made the SC deal. I don't think he is seeing a lot of clamoring for a FSD option. Especially when he sees how few take him up on a $800/year BC option.

I'll add I have a good friend who bought a 23 ICE Platinum F150 a few months ago. He's always traveling and absolutely loves BC. Can't stop talking about it. I asked if he was going to pay the $800/year and he said "Hell no".

You can license FSD for $200 a month.

This is too $ much for what it is right now. When you can send the car out on it’s own for personal use it’s worth it. When you can send it out for business it’s worth more.

BC is very close to free Autopilot, it does hands free, but AP does curved roads better and has stop light chime. FSD is something entirely different.

Have you used V12? It went from not slowing down for any speed bumps to slowing down for all of them in one update. It went from not being able to drive me to work without several take overs to only needing one accelerator nudge to make a turn it would have made anyway but I was impatient. Did I mention 6 year old car?

No, I haven’t used V12, since I don’t drive an EV expressly designed around the hardware that V12 needs in order to be able to function. Tesla is struggling to make it work on the CT, which is designed around it’s requirements.
I have a hard time believing it will be working on a Ford anytime soon
