I've been getting the "Pro power reserve reached" message frequently, despite not using Pro Power at all and attempting to turn it off. This started happening after I got the plug-and-charge update for Tesla. I have been on a long road trip with the truck and the behavior difference pre- and post- update is pretty clear.
This morning it alerted me with the truck at 80%, apparently about as soon as I removed the Level 2 charging cord. I know that I can change the reserve level (which is 70 miles) but I think that there is a software glitch somewhere. I can see that many things other than plug and charge have changed, my miles/kWh meter is much more sensitive now (which I appreciate, cool to see 2.9 miles/kWh!) but my guess is something else got messed up.
Is anybody else having this? The update was 24-PU0119-DC-CHG4 and there was another update just before that which I don't know the number of. 24-PU0119 is the only one that required the truck to be shut down. I still don't have the display for charge percent on the dashboard.
I can, however, confirm that the plug and charge works at a Tesla Magic Dock. I was staying in Forks, WA and before the update I'd get the red ring of unhappiness if I didn't start with the Tesla app. As soon as I got the update I naturally went down to test it and it just worked, sweet! Now if only there were more magic docks, or if the website hadn't timed out on the first day when I tried to order my adapter.
