Problem with driver facing camera (Camera module rear)

Hi,

I have a 23' Lariat ER, exported to Europe, but with US specifications. Since i recieved the truck (exported from the US in January 2024), I have had problems getting the lane centering assist and blue cruise to work. When engaging the function, an error message appears: "Driver Facing Camera fault, see manual". When reading the error codes, it appears that only one relevant code is present: U0565:86-2F.

It was my understanding that a software update in december 2023 (6.13) caused problems with the communication with the CMR. I have been struggeling with very few competent work shops in Europe, that can handle FDRS with the US Software, but finally found one who could help me with updates through FDRS, as OTA has not been working properly overseas.

After updating the modules the code is however still present. I find that a bit odd, and are just wondering if any of you had ran into similar problems and could provide any hints as to something the work shop should try, before ordering a new camera module?

Isn't BC only mapped and available in North America?

There are a lot of "native" Mach-E's in Europe. You could try the Mach-E forum - should be a lot more drivers and vehicles that have knowledge. Tech is pretty much the same.

Also - did they clear the code and it came back? Or is it an old code?

Blue Cruise works in some countries in Europe. However, the problem also relates to lane centering assist, which does not need any mapping at all.

The code returns after clearing (or so i think).

It doesn't illumnate. Turns out that the camera probably has an electrical fault, and needs to be replaced.

Message me the VIN. I'm on vacation and I won't be able to get to it for a few days, but I'll look into it. It would also help if you can find the VIN to a Lightning with working BC in your region. If you don't already have one, get a FORScan adapter.
