Problems with Departure Times

Afternoon everyone, I noticed in the recent Ford pass update that they added the "Prepare cabin off plug" feature back into the departure times screen on the app. However when I try to turn it on, the screen buffers for a sec and then immediately turns itself back off.

I tried hard restarting the app, clearing the departure times in my truck and trying again and it still acts the same. I called customer service about it and they didn't really have a solution for me so I'm wondering if there's any tips and tricks to get it to work? Attached is a screenrecord of the issue.

Try force-stopping the app if you're on the Android OS.
Then start the app and see if the switch works.

What operating system, IOS or Android?

OK, that's what I'm working with S24-Ultra, all is working well, double check all permissions in the phone app, also check all connectivity permissions in the trucks Sync screen.

I have the exact same problem, tried everything, Samsung S23 Ultra, sent an email to Ford...

Tried to make it work with S20 Ultra, S24 Ultra, and Pixel. None of them worked.

I was finally able to make it work using the iPad.

Looks like it is an issue with the Android software release.
Hope that helps someone else as well.
I need to be able to heat the cabin off plug in the winter!

First of all thanks for approval to the fourm. I found this form by googling this exact issue as i was having the problem with my 1 week old 2024 Lightning Pro. I called Ford and spoke at length to them with no resolution. Like others I also use Android and because of this post decided to test the Android theory. I can confirm this is an Android issue. I used the wife's iPhone to turn the option on successfully. Interesting side bar, once it was turned on once with the iPhone I was then able to turn off and back on again with my Android. Thanks again for this awesome form.

I can confirm this is an Android issue.
Which device, andriod version are you running?

My Samsung Galaxy S24u works well:

Android Auto 12.8.643614 (not sure this part matters)

After creating the new scheme conditions & time frames, it took the app about 30 seconds to talk to the server and store the rules.

Hey,

I'm using a Samsung S21 running Android 14 , Fordpass 5.5.0 (same versions as you). Perhaps the issue is more related to the hardware rather than software. For me it's not a big deal since I have it turned on now and don't intend to mess with it now that it's working. Cheers.
