Thanks! I bought the car today and will pick it up tomorrow. I suppose that the modem won't get activated until I set up the car with Ford Pass.

Actually, the modem needs to be activated for fordpass to work.

Vehicle was just bought 2 weeks ago. Modem is activated, but no OTAs yet. List of modules pending updates is below. This list will not show the pending APIM, GWM, TCU and IPC updates you still need, so there's more than just these.

Truck is on Sync 23159 which is one version behind the latest. The only OTA shown is 4.2.1.1 at the end of last month. List below does not reflect the pending APIM, GWM, TCU and IPC updates you don't have.

I assume this is a truck you're thinking of buying because it has no warranty start date and the modem is in fleet mode. It cannot get any updates until the modem gets activated which happens when you buy the vehicle.

Modules pending updates are below. Truck also needs updates to the APIM, GWM, TCU and IPC to be fully up to date. The dealer will most likely not do it since Ford does not pay them to update modules.

You've had a couple. The APIM update failed due to a corrupted manifest (Ford issue; not your truck) and the updates that went through are 6.4.0 and a minor connectivity update. You are not fully up to date, but not terribly behind, either.

Any way to tell when I'll get things like the battery % display on the regular dash? (Mine only shows on the 'calm' screen... others have said that theirs now displays it on others?)
Also, do I have the Tesla charging update? (I assume not?)

I am kind of confused as to the process with Ford-- why do trucks not update all at the same time? If it's in batches, why do they seem to update so randomly?
And can I (or a dealer, magic forum wizard like yourself, etc.) force the truck to 'ask' for updates or such?

There is no explanation, rhyme or reason stated by the MoCo, I speculate that it's a capacity management issue with their servers dolling out updates and monitoring/recording the results as they occur. They know this and have chosen to randomize when batches are queued up.

That SCCM update you show would be 6.5.0, so once you get that, it should release IPC update 6.8.0 that gives you the feature you're looking for.

I am sure there is someone in the Ford realm that can target a specific vehicle and send it an update, but I am not that person. I don't even work for Ford anymore. lol
