PUTCO WORK BLADE LED BAR INSTALLATION

Anyone install a Putco WORK Blade on their F150? The installation instructions suck and there's nothing on the internet anywhere or YouTube.

Same here, just got mine delivered 2 days ago. 60inch. there is a tailgate bracket between tail gate & step. Anyone know if i can remove & get rid of the bracket?

I just done installing my 60 inch blade. Wasn't easy to figure all those wire out. But i end up pay 72 hr subscription from motorcraft to get the wiring diagram of tail light.

ram here. And take what you need. Just be sure to tap your light bar brown wire to Park wire, not Stop wire.

I did not take power from 7 pin trailer wiring, i just don't wanna squeeze myself into the wheel well to do the bridging. Instead, i run power from my Amp behind my backseat, and grounded to closest.

End result is super. It worth a try.

There is NO Putco blade that will work with the Lightning yet. They are actively working on a version specifically for our trucks and hope to release it next month according to a phone conversation that I had with them last week. None of the current versions can be made to work properly with the Lightning's electrical system according to the rep with whom I spoke. Same for their version of both the lighted front and rear Ford emblems. They expect to release a full package soon.

Installation is a piece of cake actually if you order the right parts. We stock the Putco bars here. You can't use a normal putco bar, as they are not compatible. You have to use the newer putco bars (which we stock) which are compatible with the Ford BLIS system.

This might not work with the lightning though because the reverse circuit seems to be in a different spot then the 2021+ F150s. But for those who are reading this from the F150 forum (non-lightning) THIS bar works with newer trucks with and without BLIS (again MIGHT NOT work on lightnings due to the pin being different. I can test that though on my truck and let you know)
