Very normal this time of year.

Your Guess O Meter is being very conservative.

Every fall/winter this is common - Guess O Meter turns into the Stress O Meter...

Precondition, charger connected at all times, and use less cabin heating and more seat heaters.
Temperatures here are 60-80 right now compared to 90-100 all summer. Haven't used heaters yet. The range drop is odd because it did not do this the first couple of months. I have had the latest update installed for over a week. No new updates.

I was in the exact same boat. It’s way underestimating it. I did a 84 mile round trip test through the mountains where I live. Climbing out of 6200 level and going up to about 7500 and down to 4200, then back. I used 26 percent of my battery for 84 miles. So, even though it was telling me my maximum range was at 240, it was really 320 plus when I did the math on the percentage of battery used in a round trip for mileage used.

BTW the newest update on the Lightning completely corrected this issue. Make sure you have the latest updates. I hope this helps.

I was pretty upset with it until I put it to the test. Now I’m very pleased with the performance.
What is the latest update? What number?

There is an easy way to see the impact on range for (a) driving fast and (b) temperature. Upload the free Chargeway app on your phone, input your vehicle type, then go to the “Trip Planner” screen. There you can adjust speed and temperature and see the impact on range. For my extended-range Lariat the app shows a normal range of 320 miles at 60 MPH and 70 degrees.

Planning ahead to a trip I take every Thanksgiving, I changed my average speed from the standard 60 MPH to my preferred 73 MPH, and the range dropped to 264 miles. And when I decreased the outside temperature, from a standard 70 degrees to an anticipated 50 degrees, the range dropped further to 234 miles. I’ll use 200 miles as my “range between charges” for this trip.
