Old school here but I have had techs drive my car home to verify transient problems. But if you don’t trust dealer service people, don’t go back.

Given how bored and unimpressed the salespeople seem to be with EVs, I doubt they did much of anything.

4 miles is a lot longer than people think. I geofence my GT500 to within a 1/4 mile but even donuts at the end of the road is still under a half mile... People are fools these days and techs are just minimum wage kids that have very little respect for anything, let alone someone else's personal property. I would question it and if you don't get a good explanation, write a google review because those can't get deleted at their request. No one messes with my cars, and I don't take it lightly when someone does. It's all about how you feel about it, because everyone here saying they wouldn't mind is referring to what happened to your truck, not theirs...

I wouldn't think twice about it. Install a dash cam for next time if it worries you. Mine is powered by the rearview mirror and records whenever the car is on. 4 miles really isn't that much.

It does happen, but unless you see evidence, I don't think 4 miles is enough for any kind of conclusion. I was having a BMW being serviced at Glendale when this whole thing went down a few years back: https://jalopnik.com/im-the-sucker-who-bought-the-bmw-taken-for-a-dealership-5837417 It wasn't mine in the video, but never took a car back to them after that.

I don't get that vibe at all. I don't mind making it explicit that if I where in the OP situation with my truck, I wouldn't think 4 miles is a big deal.

I also don't think it's unreasonable to simply ask, "To satisfy my curiosity, why was a test drive needed for a frunk fix?" Any time I've had work done that required a test drive, it was made known either at drop off or at pick up that they would be driving it to test XZY.

A GT500 or pretty much anything with a clutch is a different story. I mean it’s an electric, unless they are doing burnouts the biggest thing they are going to do is drain your battery, that’s just me though. I’m sure my truck has been trashed a couple of times, I can’t tell.
