Rattle Driving me Nuts!

Not the sexiest post I know but I’ve got a rattle in my backseat of my 2023. Tried folding the seats up, down can’t find the source…driving me nuts. Anyone with something similar? Hate to waste my time at the dealership.

The down side of EVs is that you hear every creak and rattle. Get someone else drive while you hunt it down. I had a rattle on my passenger side front door. It was coming from the triangular plastic molding by the mirror. Eventually it just went away, but it sure was irritating for 6 months.

I had such a rattle too. In my case, it turned out to be the spare tire jack behind the rear passenger side seat. Even when stored properly there was still a little play in that set up, so I folded in an old towel back there to keep things from moving. Good luck...

Yes I also have a 2023 lariat and have the same problem….. tried everything , and can’t get it to stop…. I may try to see if the jack behind the p s rear seat may be loose …. But other than that….i don’t know

@TaxmanHog led me down the right (or wrong) path in a thread about while ago where he complained (rightfully so) about the rattling moon-roof.

I've had this weird rattling that sounds like you have something rolling around in the rear door pockets, especially going slowly over uneven surfaces, I just jotted it down to me leaving crap around until I cleaned it up and it was still there.

Opened/ closed the moon roof and the problem went away for a few weeks, rinse and repeat...


So - open your moon roof fully, close it, and see if it goes away.

I've had this weird rattling that sounds like you have something rolling around in the rear door pockets, especially going slowly over uneven surfaces, I just jotted it down to me leaving ceap around until I cleaned it up and it was still there.

Opened/ closed the moon roof and the problem went away for a few weeks, rinse and repeat...


So - open your moon roof fully, close it, and see if it goes away.

I've had rattles back again, I think some of my crap under the passenger seats has shifted again.
Also make sure all the locks are engaged if you have the foldable storage box under the bench seat.
