Has anyone had the rear lightbar get water in it after the recalled version? I have a 22 lariat that got water in it right after I bought it in 22 then had it happen again right before the recall. I was driving earlier this week and got pulled over because the rear bright white lights were on and flashing on and off. When I went back to look the ligntbar was half full of water again. I love this truck but scared to have to replace the light bar so often when it is so expensive after the warranty expires.

I learned my lesson with my 21 F150, get the extended warranty with lighting option. The cost of 2 light assemblies is all it takes to cover the extended warranty.

Man that is a bummer, Chevy had the same problem for several years until they got it right.

Get a warranty it will differently be better paying an $100 deductible, rather than a $900 fine for light being on the…🙁

I haven't had this issue but I'm concerned about it since I've seen it a lot. Does anyone know how the water gets in? Is it from pressure washing a certain spot too long, or is it just from general rain while driving, or is it a condensation issue?

I get that it's a defect and shouldn't happen at all but I'm just trying to see if there is something I can do to help prevent the issue from coming up.

I had mine replaced under Recall 23S30 in September 2023. I am currently waiting on a dealership appointment to replace it again due to moisture and the back-up lights not working. I have an extended warranty. If the dealership does not replace it again under the recall, I will file a NHTSA safety complaint.

I am just now in the same boat as you (and feel like @powercatnewt jinxed us!!). I would recommend that everyone with this problem post-recall work submit another NHTSA complaint each and every time that this happens. It is the only way that NHTSA and Ford are going to know that NHTSA Campaign No. 23V4180000 was not resolved. This is the only way that we can get NHTSA to order another recall so that we do not have to pay in the future as many of our trucks will then be out of warranty.

Query: Do we know if any of the late 2023 or 2024 builds have had this issue?
