I had a 22 and was getting updates pretty regularly. I got my 23 in September last year and not a single update yet. I have called a couple of times but it is a closely guarded secret.

If the internet rumors are true, Ford canned a ton ton of folks, both software development and production due to low EV demand. I suspect that is at the core of the issue. I bought my EV trucks to use Pet Mode, something Ford trademarked over 2 years ago....still no Pet mode which is similar to Tesla's Dog mode. At this rate, Platinum goes away and Model X Plaid takes it place if they don't pull it together soon.

Mid Aug 2023 build date, MId Oct Delivery.

No OTA updates as of Jan 7th when I turned off Auto Updates.
Completed "recall" replacement of the 12V battery sensor module which was supposed to cause failure of the OTA's to be completed (CSP 23B70). See my post w/ the CSP notice.

OTA auto updates still turned off.

November delivery no OTA updates in 3 months of ownership. Over that same time period, 4 OTA updates from Tesla. (Lots of improvements including alternate routes in mapping, 3d park assist, auto 911 calls, more cameras in live view from app, blind spot warning during turns, etc…).

The Tesla updates go to all vehicles in short time window of a week or two. This idea of constant improvement via software is not shared by the legacy automakers.

I know the Bluecruise 1.3/1.4 rollout hit some bugs on the Mach-e's. Seems that really gummed up the works while they figure it out.

So here is something you can check to see if the LVB charge level low might be causing the OTA problems... log into the Ford web site at http//www.ford.com/myaccount/account-dashboard when the screen loads you will see Charge Level. This is the state of Charge for the LVB if it is low you will just about never get an OTA... my 23 a year old had no updates since early December... This past weekend I put on my charger and got it to 90%... bam it updated last night... NOTE there is a difference when you typically log into the web site as it goes to the vehicle-dasboard not the accout-dashboard.. the vehicle-dashboard does not display the info... lastly I had the original 23 October 22 build with the modem issues... don't know how many times I pulled fuse 32 to get it to talk but eventually got an update that fixed that.. back to the LVB % eliminate that issue wait a few days to a week keeping the LVB high and cross your fingers.

It doesn't sound like anyone with a build date after about April 2023 has received an OTA update. I know, for the most part, these updates are no big thing, but there are some that are desirable (Explicit SoC on the charge meter), and some will be close to essential (BlueCruise updates, for example). I would love to hear something official about this lack of OTA updates for '23+ Lightnings, and what the plan is to get the ball rolling again. If anyone around here interviews a @Ford Motor Company exec, this would be an excellent question...

9/23 build date Pro, no OTAs yet. I just completed 23B70 replacement last week, showing 99% LBV charge, park brake on, lights off, not plugged in, doors locked, and I keep my keys and phone in the microwave. Any more steps to this rain dance I don't know about? I even joined the early adoption team.

23 Lariat August Build, No updates. But I did just get the official enrolment into the early access program so perhaps things will be happening soon.
